onefivezeroseven

onefivezeroseven opened wide the bedroom doors of Australian teenagers, allowing us into their inner sanctum. A very real look at everything they have, and everything they hope for. The crafting of raw content sourced directly from interviews with hundreds of Australian teenagers culminated in a thrilling, brave and emotionally charged piece of theatre that ignited conversations and challenged perceptions.

Not just a chance for young people to say their piece, but an even more valuable opportunity for adults to listen, onefivezeroseven goes beyond its assured production values, beyond the accomplished dance skills of its performers, beyond its polished script, to create something that exceeds expectations in terms of entertainment, information-sharing and awareness-raising. Rating: 5 stars.

I think it’s definitely accurate to the majority of Australian Youth. What impressed me was the choreography, [and] the interpretive dance, which was unexpected. [I couldn’t believe] how raw it was, it didn’t pull any punches.
